Yo,

It’s 12:15AM. I’m at the Kolkata airport. Returning home from another home.

I was here for a week, and absolutely loved it. The amount and variety of food I had is insane. And the amount of love I received and gave is immeasurable.

Got a bit more closer to Mummy, Papa, Bhai. And everyone else in the family.

“Everyone looks for the thrill.
Family is what’s real”

  • Irfan, 2016, in hostel. Quoting from Fast & Furious I guess, idk, I haven’t seen it.

Point is family is very important to me. In general relationships and people.

I think it comes from a blog I read years back about some study on happiness and happier people were people who had deep meaningful relationships. And since then I’ve always tried to put in some effort into my making sure people that I’m close to are happy, taken care of, loved.

Putting effort for your people is high ROI. They become happy, and you become happier due to that.

I was recently traveling across Thailand and Malaysia with Subu. And last year when I went to Vietnam, I really wanted to get a remote job at some point and travel the world while working. It was a dream.

She had to go back home after the trip due to office, I could travel more because my work is remote. I had told her I’ll be traveling, and not going back with her. But finally I went back with her haha. Because the whole trip was just so much more fun with her, I felt like exploring all the new places with her. Being with your loved ones just makes any experience 10x better.

If it’s been a while since you’ve checked in with them, drop a text or ring them up :)
